Planning and Support Sessions

Private sessions with me are 90 minutes in duration. These are usually online but can be face to face for those in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie or Lower Hunter areas on request. Services on offer include:

  • Birth Mapping, to take your birth planning in every foreseeable direction and make sure your informed decisions have the best chance of being honoured under any birth circumstance
  • Postpartum planning for expectant parents to ensure you and your family all get the help you need as you transition to life with a new baby (or “babies”, if you’re expecting multiples, or “child” if you are growing your family through adoption).
  • Birth debriefing, to help you understand, reduce emotional charge or feel differently about your birth, whether it was 7 weeks or 7 years ago. This service is available for mothers and birth parents, partners, doulas, and anyone who has witnessed birth, regardless of the location, nature or outcome of the birth;
  • Private support sessions for mothers and parents of children aged 0-10, to help you through your process of matrescence (mother becoming) or parturescence (parent becoming), transitional periods (like return to work), parenting sticking points and the emotional challenges that present with early years of child-raising.

I also offer writing support for people stepping out in the process of writing their books, websites or similar.

Single sessions or a package?

A package provides you with four sessions and a period of one month support through a voice-messaging app.

If you begin with me in pregnancy, you will have my support through birth mapping, postpartum planning, birth debrief and transition to motherhood sessions + on-call voice message support (except for during labour and birth) for your first month post-birth. This is a fantastic option for those who know they want planning and emotional support, but don't need in-person doula services.

If you begin your support sessions after your baby has arrived, your month of on-call voice message support starts from the date of your first session.

Single sessions and packages can also be customised to meet the needs of non-birth parents who are looking for support and guidance through this tumultuous period. Grandparent or kinship carers and stepparents are also welcomed.

How does it work?

You choose the best session time from my booking calendar: https://calendly.com/annacusack

Once you’ve chosen your timeslot, use one of the purchase options here on this page to complete your booking.

Don't stress if my availability doesn’t match up - send me an email and we'll make it happen!

I will send you a zoom link and reminder the day before our session. If you have selected a support package, I will also invite you to connect with me using messaging app Voxer, where we can message back and forth throughout your one month messaging support period. I check the app each weekday and get back to you within 24 hours with any ideas, reassurance or resources that might be helpful for you.
